Josh and I will remember the beauty of the landscape, our early morning beach walk (which made us even more excited to go back to Humboldt County), the Viking treasure in the museum in Visby, the deer whose dinner we interrupted on a late evening walk, and entertaining the boy in the car for HOURS because he is not a fan of being in his car seat.
And if, one day, we happen to forget about our adventure in Gotland...we have several wonderful pieces of art to remind us. Fortunately for us it was Open Studios last weekend in Gotland and we drove around to various studios purchasing (and wishing we could afford) some of the art. The artists we like best are Gunilla Larsén, Anne Nilsson, Barbro Sandell, and Kerstin Ostwald. There will be an exhibition of Gunilla's work on Governors Island in NY from the end of May through the summer. If you are nearby, we highly recommend that you check it out.
