Maybe he'd like "Gingerbread Baby" by Jan Brett better...spoiler alert- the gingerbread baby doesn't get eaten in the end of that one!
And seeing Ben's playroom is making me nostalgic for when it was your dining room and I came to visit for 3 days and we painted the hallway and tiled that counter. I hope the new owners appreciate our mad skillz!
