Welcome to One: Twelve Things

Twelve things you should know about Ben on his 1st birthday:

1. To Josh's dismay, Ben likes eating mushrooms.
2. Ben loves throwing Molly's balls to her and is perfectly happy "fetching" when Molly won't.
3. Ben sometimes claps when he is breastfeeding.
4. When Ben wakes up in the morning he says hi to Josh and then leans on Josh to look over at Molly and says, "Hi Dog!"
5. Ben dances to music. He also crawls to where we keep the computer and starts dancing to let us know that he would like to listen to music.
6. Ben leans in for kisses and presents his toes to be kissed when asked.
7. When Ben is crawling towards something, he emphatically throws to the side everything in his path. Even if it is not really blocking his way. I'll have to take a movie of this because it is so cute.
8. Ben likes opening and closing box lids. A lot.
9. Ben likes resting his head on my chest or Josh's chest when he needs a snuggle.
10. Ben really, really likes to feed Molly from his high chair.
11. Ben says, "Ooooh" when he is excited. This is now his reaction when boxes come in the mail because he assumes that they contain birthday presents.
12. Ben likes to play with a deck of relaxation cards. He chooses one, hands it to one of us, and listens to us read it to him. He usually will then put the card in his mouth.
