Paris Adventure: Day 2 - the rain

Today was a rainy, rainy day in Paris. I think that the only time it didn't rain was when we were visiting the Musee D'Orsay to, well, get out of the rain. Oh, and to see amazing impressionist art. Ben was most impressed by the sound of his voice echoing in the galleries. We were pleasantly surprised by their collection of Art Nouveau. But I am digressing...I think it is easier to write about our day chronologiacally.

So after having a relaxing morning in our room we ventured out to find Josh some coffee and croissants. We then went to the Enfants Rouges market, which was a disappointment, but the fruit and veggie stall next door had nice looking produce so we bought a little something to cook for dinner. Next we walked around a small park and then made our way back to the hotel to put groceries away and took the metro to meet Guillaume for lunch. I am still on a brochettes kick and had delicious lamb brochettes from Au P'tits Fours, a French and Armenian restaurant. Guillaume said that the food was served in a typical southwestern French style. Josh was a fan of his meal too. We had a leisurely lunch, said au revoir to Guillaume, and walked to the museum. After the museum we stopped for some French treats on rue St. Germain and headed to Hotel des Invalides. Ben was very proud of his job for the day--helping to hold the umbrella. We took bus 69 back to Bastille and separated there as Josh needed to buy a USB cable and Ben needed some food. By 7:30PM everyone was satisfied and Ben was asleep. All in all a wet, but good day.

P.S-Guillaume said that demostrating is the national pasttime of France and that the police dressed in riot gear is nothing to be

alarmed about so we will try to see St. Chapelle in the morning.
